The BRUTE Hydraulic Models are “New” for 2020 an bring a new level of quality and performance to the commercial fisherman who desires Hydraulic Reels over Electric.
Unlike all other Hydraulic Reels, the BRUTE Hydraulic comes standard with your choice of “0 Degree” Vertical or “30 Degree” Rod Mount. This frees up valuable deck space by not having to be bolted to the deck and side of the gunwale where it remains out in the weather day and night. The rod holder mount allows you to remove it at the end of the day for protection from the weather and from theft. It also takes up less room than other hydraulic reels.
The BRUTE Hydraulic Models also features our own custom machined Valve which is hard coat anodized for additional protection from the saltwater environment in which it lives.

The HyDrive 511BH Bullhorn Steering Cylinder is the most popular outboard steering cylinder in HyDrive’s line. It is one of the most powerful and durable cylinder in the market and is capable of handling single or multiple engine installations up to 1200HP combined. The 511BH Bullhorn easily mounts to the tilt-tube of the outboard motor and fits neatly under the front of the motor cowling. It’s composite bull horns and seal on the link arm completely isolates the cylinder from the outboard and rest of the boat so you won’t need pitting shafts and fragile earthing wires! And because of its compact design, it requires minimal space compared to other steering cylinders.
